Apple’s first offshore technology development centre to open in Hyderabad

Apple is slated to build its first technology development centre in India’s southern city of Hyderabad in Telangana state. The company’s first offshore facility outside the United States is scheduled to open in June this year. An initial investment of AED 92 million ($25 million) will be made in the structure, which is said to employ about 4,500 people. The centre will occupy 250,000 square feet in Hyderabad's IT corridor, with India recently being touted as a 'bright spot' in the market for iPhones.
