XDubai have made quite a habit of producing awe-inspiring stunts. Remember when ‘Jetmen’ met an Emirates A380? Well, they’ve been at it again, this time in conjunction with Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East.
In their latest film (see below), stuntman Damien Walters showcases just why he is a Hollywood favourite; world-renowned skydiver and base jumper Noah Bahnson defies gravity; and Nick Jacobsen, kiteboarding and kitesurfing champion, shows the true meaning of adventure with a world-first feat from the Burj Al Arab’s iconic helipad.
The undoubted highlight of the 2-minute video is Jacobsen’s record-breaking stunt, which sees the Dane complete the highest kiteboarding jump on record – an incredible 210m above sea level, smashing his own previous world record of 90m.
Commenting on the groundbreaking stunt, which sees Jacobsen launch himself off the Burj Al Arab helipad, the XDubai athlete and champion kiteboarder said: “It took a lot of planning, precision and safety measures, but it all worked well in the end, and the experience was amazing.”
