Woman affected by cargo vessel crash opens up to ARN

A number of families in the UAE have been told that containers carrying their goods were damaged in a cargo shipping crash near Karachi.

The incident occurred when the Tolten vessel operated by German company Hapag-Lloyd was en route from Dubai to the UK.

Jennifer Gibson, who recently returned to the UK with her family after seven years in the UAE, is one of those who has been affected

The ARN News Centre contacted Hapag-Lloyd for comment, without reply.

One of the shipping companies involved, DASA, told ARN that they have been keeping their customers informed with whatever information has been made available to them.

They added that they are treating the incident with the utmost confidentiality.
