Video: Man proposes to girlfriend on world’s longest zipline
Taking love to new heights! A young man made history of sorts after he became the first to propose to his partner on the world’s longest zipline in Ras Al Khaimah.
Over the weekend, Adrian Mackay, 30, from the Indian city of Bengaluru, popped the question to Susan Kuruvilla, after she landed on the suspended platform 80m above the mountain floor on Jebel Jais.
As Mackay went down on one knee, a ‘Will you marry me’ banner was unveiled, with an emotional Susan responding with a big “yes”.
“I wanted to do something special to make our engagement unique and when I heard about the world’s longest zipline, I knew it would be the perfect way to propose,” Mackay said.
“From the beautiful drive to Ras Al Khaimah to the stunning views in the Jais Mountains and the exhilaration of the zipline itself, it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I’m so happy I got to ask the girl of my dreams to marry me and do the world’s longest zipline.”
The adrenaline-fueled proposal was supported by Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority and Toro Verde UAE.
Since it’s opening in February 2018, the world’s longest zipline has welcomed over 10,000 pilots.
