Video: Fowler Confident Ahead Of Falcon Trophy Defense #SportsTonight

Defending Abu Dhabi HSBC champion Rickie Fowler is hoping to kickstart a return to form with a successful defense of the title he won dramatically at Abu Dhabi Golf Club 12 months ago. The American played an inspired final round to defeat big-hitting Thomas Pieters and Rory McIlroy (who is absent this year with a rib injury) to climb into the world’s top 5.

But in this exclusive interview with Dubai Eye 103.8, he admitted that the remainder of 2016 had not lived up to those high standards. “It was the best start I’ve ever had to a season, getting the win here, but I didn’t play as well as I would have liked to during the middle part of the season,” said the World No.14. 

“Being able to be a part of the Olympics, the World Cup and a [winning] Ryder Cup, made it a special year on those fronts,” he added. Watch the full interview below:
