US immigration arrests spike by 40%
Immigration-related arrests in the United States spiked in 2017 by almost 40%, according to a study released on Wednesday.

The study, released by Immigration Control Enforcement or ICE, saw 400 undocumented people arrested per day, with almost 42,000 arrests made this year in total.

An immigration official said the statistics are linked to Donald Trump’s commitment to enforce immigration laws.
