US court lets Trump travel ban go partially into effect

US President Donald Trump’s latest travel ban has been partially approved to go into effect, following the ruling of a California US appeals court.

It means the ban will apply to people from Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia and Chad who do not have connections to the US.

Trump’s ban was announced on September 24 and replaced two previous versions.
