UAE’s trade export ranking improves in latest WTO report
The UAE is continuing to lead the way regionally in global export rankings.
A new report from the World Trade Organization reveals that the Emirates has risen four places to rank 15th globally and first amongst Arab countries.
The study shows that the UAE achieved a growth of 7.5 per cent for commercial services exports in 2017, at a value of AED 257 billion.
An improvement was also made in the merchandise imports rating, with the UAE rising to 18th internationally.
Officials say the results of the report reflect the Emirates’ flexible trade policy and the efforts made in developing infrastructure and sectors for foreign trade.
