UAE backs Egypt-brokered ceasefire on Gaza conflict
UAE BACKS EGYPT-BROKERED CEASEFIRE ON GAZA CONFLICT
The UAE has once again expressed its support for an Egypt-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Gaza.
The conflict has now claimed nearly 700 lives, with the majority of victims being Palestinian civilians.
Foreign Minister His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan has held telephone conversations with his counterparts in the UK, France and Germany top discuss the deteriorating situation.
Meanwhile, two additional airlifts of critical supplies have left Dubai for Gaza, bringing the total number from the emirate to five in just three days.
The supplies are being flown into Jordan and then transferred by land to Gaza.
