Trump says will meet Kim Jong-Un after US midterms
US President Donald Trump said his second summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un would be held after the US midterm elections on November 6.
“It’ll be after the midterms. I just can’t leave now,” Trump told reporters as he flew to Iowa for a political rally.
He had earlier said that his staff is looking at “three or four locations” for the summit, and also predicted that North Korea “is going to be a very successful country”.
Trump’s comments come after US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met with the North Korean leader in Pyongyang.
