Dubai Kennels & Cattery (DKC) is the longest-toothed organisation of its kind in the UAE and possibly across the Middle East. They’ve been caring for all types of pet, and relocating them and other animals, for more than 30 years, since 1983. DKC is one of the largest boarding facilities in the region and the major pet and other animal relocator in the region, and are the exclusive Animal Handler for Emirates Airline and dnata at both Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central.
DKC Veterinary Clinic in Motor City is officially open. The clinic is the newest addition to Dubai Kennels & Cattery (DKC), and expands the business to encompass the major pet care services of boarding and daycare, relocations and now veterinary care. And it goes without saying that the company is doggone excited about how these three important areas will work together and support each other to improve even further the level of care each of these areas can provide.
The leader of the pack at the clinic is Dr Lucinda Nattrass, Managing Veterinarian, Partner and a fifteen year veterinary veteran, who was educated and trained in South Africa and specialises in diagnostics, internal medicine and critical care. “Love… and other stuff too” is the foundation of the company’s approach to meaningful pet care. Like any overstuffed teddy bear on its birthday, DKC is bursting at the seams with excitement over the opening of its new clinic and whatever your pet needs, from initial consultations, to vaccinations, to dental procedures and surgeries, you name it and this teddy has a cuddle for it. Dig a little deeper into DKC Veterinary Clinic and Dubai Kennels & Cattery (DKC) at www.dkc.ae or visit them in Motor City to see for yourself this new top dog of veterinary care in the UAE.
Dr Lucinda Nattrass is the Managing Veterinarian of DKC Veterinary Clinic and a Partner in both Dubai Kennels & Cattery (DKC) and DKC Veterinary Clinic. A veterinary veteran of 15 years, including the last 6 years in the UAE, she is educated and trained in South Africa and specializes in diagnostics, internal medicine and critical care… to say nothing of the occasional vaccination and snuffle, too.
Todd Carson is the Managing Partner of Dubai Kennels & Cattery (DKC) and DKC Veterinary Clinic, having joined the company in 2001. Since then, thanks to the economic boom in the UAE, and Dubai especially, of the early to mid 2000s and a lot of good luck, the company has grown from what was just 11 staff to now approximately 40, and from just a few hundred animal relocations each year to now almost 1500 annually, and to approximately 40,000 boarding days per year too. Todd likes to stay behind the scenes of things, so it was a tooth or two that had to get pulled to get him on air for the Animal House – good luck to us all!
