Tesla launches in Dubai with new showroom
Electric car company Tesla is investing in the UAE because it’s a ‘beacon country’ in the quest for sustainable energy.
Speaking at the launch of Tesla’s first Middle East showroom in Dubai, Tesla director Peter Bardenfleth-Hansen praised the UAE’s efforts.
Tesla is building a network of charging stations across the UAE, and plans to open in Abu Dhabi next year.
However, Bardenfleth-Hanson said the auto industry must do more to promote green energy. Last year, just 300,000 of the 90 million cars sold worldwide were electric.
