Sweet Dreams, The Sleep Show on #DubaiToday

On Eye on Health from 11am, we are looking at all things sleep! Why it is so essential for the body, how it reboots the brain, talking about sleeping patterns, sleep deprivation, insomnia and much much more. Text us your questions via the Dubai Eye Messenger app or on 4001.

Joining Suzanne in the studio are:

  • Lana Webb, Emergency Unit Manager at City Hospital, who she has been nursing for 15 years, 13 of which have involved shift work.
  • Dr. Irshaad Ebrahim, Specialist Neuropsychiatrist, Sleep Physician and Medical Director at the London Sleep Centre Dubai.
  • Keith Littlewood, Pain Relief, Energy & Digestion consultant based at Hapi Wellness Center and Cafe in Alserkal Avenue.

To get the children and sleep perspective, we earlier spoke to Dr. Arif Khan, Consultant Pediatric Neurologist and Epileptologist at the American Center for Psychiatry and Neurology.

We also hear from Raha Moharrak, the youngest Arab and the first Saudi woman to conquer Mount Everest. We asked her just how good sleep mattered in reaching the top of the world.

A pilot tells us about shift work in aviation and we do a live phoner with Nick Littlehales, Former Chairman of the UK Sleep Council and author of “Sleep – The Myth of 8 Hours, The Power of Naps …. and the New Plan to Recharge your Body and Mind”.
