Sharjah Airport expects 1.1 million passengers in August
More than a million passengers are expected to pass through Sharjah International Airport in August.
Officials say the peak of the travel season will coincide with an influx of Hajj pilgrims, making the airport busier than usual.
Travellers are being reminded to arrive early for their flights and to check in online.
“The Hajj and Eid Al Adha holidays are the most important seasons for Sharjah Airport during which the number of passengers hits its peak,” said Ali Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority.
“Charter flights are used to cope with the high demand, which requires expediting travel procedures while maintaining the highest level of service.”
