Philippine president still hugely popular, poll
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte is still quite popular in the country, according to a new public opinion poll.
The results are in stark contrast to a different survey earlier this week that showed a sharp decline in trust and satisfaction in the leader.
Eighty percent of 1,200 Filipinos surveyed by pollster Pulse Asia last month, say they trust and approve of Duterte – a figure which is slightly down from the 81 percent and 82 percent in its June survey.
Since Duterte took office 15 months ago, more than 3,900 people have been killed in anti-narcotics operations.
