Pakistan PM allegedly obtained Dubai work visa while in office
The current Prime Minister of Pakistan allegedly obtained a work visa to manage a company in Dubai, for which he apparently received a monthly salary while in office.
That’s according to widely reported findings by a Pakistani Joint Investigation Team which has been probing Nawaz Sharif and his family’s offshore assets, amidst allegations of corruption.
A copy of a certificate apparently issued by the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) reveals Sharif was the Chairman of Board at a company called Capital FZE between 2006 and 2014.
Sharif had not declared the business in any of his income tax returns, wealth statements or nomination papers to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
ARN News has reached out to JAFZA for clarification.
