Pakistan defeat World XI in first of three T20 matches
Pakistan beat a star-studded World XI team by 20 runs in the first of three Twenty20 matches at Lahore’s Gaddafi stadium on Tuesday.
After posting a total of 197-5, Pakistan restricted the visiting team to 177-7.
Babar Azam was declared man of the match for his 86 runs off 52 balls for the hosts.
It’s the first big series to be held in Pakistan since the 2009 terror attack targeting the Sri Lankan team.
The second game will be played at the same venue on Wednesday at 6pm UAE time.
