UAE PROVIDES MORE AID FOR SYRIAN REFUGEES
The United Arab Emirates continues to provide support to Syrian nationals displaced by ongoing conflict in their home country.
Over 100 tonnes of aid from the Emirates arrived in Jordan over the Eid weekend to assist refugees living there.
The supplies—which include foodstuffs, utensils and detergents—are being transported to the Za'tari refugee camp in Mafraq, near the Syrian border and other Jordanian cities.
Some 200,500 Syrians have fled to Jordan and are registered by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The aid from the Emirates has been donated by the nation’s Red Crescent Authority.
