UAE FOREIGN MINISTER SAYS THE ARAB WORLD FAILED TO SECURE INTERNATIONAL INTERVENTION IN SYRIA
The UAE’s Foreign Minister says the deteriorating situation in Syria is largely down to recommendations by the Arab League being ignored.
The comments were made on the sidelines of a meet between H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his Ukrainian counterpart Kostiantyn Hryshchenko.
Sheikh Abdullah once again called for the International community to get involved in the crisis.
He said the Arab Community failed to find a tangible solution to the conflict as well as reasons as to why world powers should intervene, adding that the longer the crisis continues the graver the repercussions for the region.
Both agreed that sectarian violence in the country poses one of the greatest threats.
