The UAE this week will see the busy winter sport season kick into action with some of the biggest events taking place.

The 2012 Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix gets underway on Friday as the drivers’ championship continues to excite fans.

This week also sees the Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup take place for five days from Wednesday at its new venue at Festival City.

The MENA Golf Tour’s final event is also being staged in Al Ain.
