The Grill - October 13th

It's been a busy time for Cycling in recent months what with the London Olympics, the Tour de France and the Cycle Challenge in Dubai once again fast approaching. To add to all of the action Lance Armstrong's name is once again at the top of the agenda.

As we build up to the DP World Tour Championship, Nick Tarratt form the European Tour came along to discuss everything we need to know ahead of the Race to Dubai conclusion.

It's not just cycling that seems to be on top of everyone's agenda at the moment. Running too. The Dubai Striders are one of the best known running clubs in Dubai and they popped into The Grill to chat about the sport and a huge challenge coming up for two of their member's.

The Harlem Globetrotters are a huge deal around the world. The have played over 20,000 exhibition games in over 120 countries since they were founded in 1927. This week not only did Tom Bushell shoot a few hoops with them but Ben Jacobs had a chat with Hi-Lite and Buckles.

Hot on the heels of the FINA/Arena Swimming World Cup the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Sports Complex played host to the Water Polo & Synchronised Swimming championships. Sarah Marks was there for us.

The 2012 Formula One Championship has been a fascinating watch and with two Aussie's on the Grid. Daniel Ricciardo, driving for Toro Rosso spoke to our resident Aussie, Trent Masenhelder.

This week the draw for the Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup was made and Brian Mugertroyd was there for The Grill. The UAE will face world champions Russia in their group.
