The Grill - September 29th

The Grill enjoyed a packed show at Barasti yesterday with British & Irish Lions legends Sir Ian McGeechan & John Bentley popping in for a chat.

We started the show with the big headlines of the last few days in sport.

We soon moved onto golf. Not only did we have Ben Jacobs live at The Ryder Cup but Tom Bushell caught up with Zane Scotland after his win at the Dubai Creek Open, the first event of the 2012 MENA Tour.

Sir Ian McGeechan is a British & Irish Lions legend. He is simply known as "The Lion Man". During a tour of the Middle East, he popped in with former player John Bentley to chat with The Grill team.

Not only did The Grill have the best in live guests and live sport on the big sreen, but we had your chance to play too, on our Pro Evolution 2013 gaming centres.

One of the biggest aspects of The Grill was of course all the reaction to the AFL Grand Final between Sydney Swans & Hawthorn Hawks. We were live in Melbourne earlier in the day for all the action.

For more AFL Grand Final reaction, go to the Dubai Eye Sport Feature pages.

As well as being live in Chicago for The Ryder Cup we also had Brian Murgertroyd in Sri Lanka for the T20 World Cup. Tim Anderson from the ICC popped in to chat all things cricket.

And there was still more. We spoke UAE Rugby in the build up the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby 7's.

A packed show. Live guests, live sport and a lot of fun to be had at Barasti. Come and join us next weekend once again, live at 5 every Saturday.

Just one more thing we had to do. Kitman. Which member of the panel would be nominated this week to take our kits home and wash them? Listen to the veridct here.

Emirates has been awarded the highly coveted 'World's Best Airline' award. Company officials were presented the prize by Skytrax at the Paris Airshow.
The Al Sufouh Tram project is on track to open in November next year. The RTA says 62% of the construction work has been completed.
The UAE and Australia have signed an agreement to help them both combat human trafficking.
