TALIBAN CLAIM RESPONSIBILITY FOR AN ATTACK ON A 14 YEAR OLD PAKISTANI CAMPAIGNER
Politicians in Pakistan condemn a Taliban attack that wounded a schoolgirl of 14 who has campaigned for girls' education in the north.
Malala Yusafzai was injured while on her way home from school in Mingora, the main town in the Swat Valley.
She was being treated at Peshawar's Combined Military Hospital and was in critical condition late last night.
Officials have placed security inside and outside the hospital.
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, also known as the Pakistani Taliban, claimed responsibility for the attack.
