THREE QUARTERS OF A MILLION TAKE TO PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Nearly three quarters of a million commuters travelled for free on the metro, buses and water taxis yesterday.
The RTA estimates 739,000 passengers took advantage of the waived fees,
to mark Public Transport Day.
That’s 40,000 more people than last year.
Apart from the complimentary rides, commuters also enjoyed free Nol cards, bikes and iPads in various competitions and programmes.
