SMART GATES TO BE ROLLED OUT ACROSS ALL TERMINALS

The new e-Gate system currently under trial at Dubai International Airport's Terminal 3 will be officially launched on January 1 next year.

Officials say that with the smart system in place, it'll be easier and faster for passengers to pass through passport control.

Travelers will no longer need e-gate cards, but will be able to use machine-readable passports.
