Two warehouses have been completely gutted in a massive fire in Sharjah’s Industrial Area.

The blaze reportedly broke out early yesterday in a petrochemical company’s unit and spread to a neighbouring storehouse which contained furniture.

It took fire-fighters about an hour and a half to completely control the blaze with civil defence units from Dubai and Sharjah involved in the operation.

There were no casualties or injuries reported – officials are still trying to determine the monetary value of losses.
