SALARIES TO INCREASE NEXT YEAR

There is some good news for people working in the United Arab Emirates.

A new survey suggests salaries across the country could jump by up to five percent next year.

The study of over 500 companies in the Gulf region by global consultancy Mercer expects the highest raises to be in the energy, consumer goods and technology sectors.

Similar hikes are expected in Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Analysts say they will remain above the forecast inflation rate.
