RED CROSS IN UNIQUE SPANISH APPEAL

The Red Cross is to make its first ever public appeal in Spain to help those affected by the economic crisis.

It will ask Spanish people to donate money to help 300,000 of the most vulnerable people.

Before the crisis, it mainly helped immigrants but, with one in four adults now out of work, more and more Spanish families rely on food hand-outs.

A campaign video reportedly shows a family with an all but empty fridge receiving a box of groceries from the Red Cross.

Emirates Airline is the world's best
Emirates has been awarded the highly coveted 'World's Best Airline' award. Company officials were presented the prize by Skytrax at the Paris Airshow.
Al Sufouh Tram project on track to completion
The Al Sufouh Tram project is on track to open in November next year. The RTA says 62% of the construction work has been completed.
