OPPOSITION CALLS FOR ALL TO ATTEND FUNERALS IN LEBANON
The funeral of slain intelligence officer Wissam al-Hassan will take place later in Lebanon.
His death, in a car bomb blast that also killed seven other people and wounded 80 in Beirut on Friday, has sparked huge sectarian anger in the country.
It’s thought the bomb was of Syrian origin, as the 19-month conflict there starts to seep over the country’s borders.
Meanwhile the opposition have seized on the incident as a political platform, and are calling for the resignation of Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
