MURRAY LOSES IN JAPAN

Andy Murray has suffered his first defeat since becoming US Open champion.

Milos Raonic of Canada defeated him in the semi-final of the Japan Open 6-3, 6-7, 7-6.

It is the biggest win of the 21-year-old’s career so far.

Defending champ Murray looked on course to reach yet another final after leveling the match in the second set, but Raonic fought back in the decider and eventually won after a tiebreak.
