As Dubai’s annual shopping festival starts today, malls in the UAE are gearing up for more tourists.

Dubai Summer Surprises is one of the highlights of the city’s summer calendar with visitors flocking to the city looking for bargains during the month long promotion.

For Majid Al Futtaim group - the company behind Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Centre and Mirdif City Centre - DSS is an important contributor to annual sales.

Fuad Sharaf, Senior Asset Director of Shopping Malls says it’s also contributed to their expansion over the past decade.
