The 6th Abu Dhabi Film Festival - Lloyd and Lumber will entirely have it covered, exclusively on Dubai Eye 103.8.

ADFF Day 1 - An Officer and a Gentleman

Officer Lloyd and Gentleman Lumber hit the road early and headed for the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi... Their Mission... Find the Silver Fox!

2pm was showtime and the guys set the scene for the next 10 days of movie mania in Abu Dhabi.

The show included the Top 10 moments in the incredible career of Richard Gere. Pretty Woman, American Gigolo, An Officer and a Gentleman and of course Arbitrage, the Festival's red carpet opening gala.

Talking of red carpets, Lloyd and Lumber were in position at around 5.00pm waiting for the guests and stars to arrive. Led by the Festival Director Ali Al Jabri, the VIPs and stars stared to arrive.

The guys chatted with Sam Kadi, the Director and Khaled Nabawy, the lead Actor in the movie The Citizen. Indian Star Mammootty also stopped for a chat along with Jub Clerc, producer of the Australian film Satellite Boy.

All eyes however were looking for the Silver Fox himself and sure enough Richard Gere did not disappoint along with Director Nicholas Jarecki,  Producer Mohammed Al Turki and Co Star Nate Parker he flashed that famous Hollywood smile for the assembled press.

After a few words with Lloyd and Lumber Richard headed into the auditorium to present Arbitrage.

The Gala Film was a big hit with stand out performances from Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon, Tim Roth and Nate Parker.

As the movie closed to a rapturous round of applause the guests were whisked outside onto the terrace for an elegant after party .

Lloyd and Lumber soon found their very own Pretty Woman.. Sandie an avid Dubai Eye listener who won tickets on Entertainment Today to walk the Red Carpet and see the opening premier. Listen to what she had to say on Sunday's show.

Also don't miss an exclusive one on one interview with the hottest new actor coming out of Hollywood - Nate Parker!

If day one was anything to go by Lloyd and Lumber have lots to look forward to over the week ahead!

ADFF Day 2 - Lloyd, Lumber & Nate

It felt like one of those interviews that was just meant to be!

Nate Parker, the young Hollywood acting sensation, had lots to talk about with Lloyd and Lumber including building bridges with Hollywood and the Arab world and what it's really like acting with one of the masters in Richard Gere.

Live radio can often take you by suprise and the depth of the subject matter certainly did that when Dr Mohammad Jawad picked up the microphone. He spoke so passionately about Saving Face, an Oscar-winning documentary tackling the sensitive subject matter of women who suffer disfiguring acid attacks. The plastic surgeon highlighted the plight of these women and how he rebuilds their shattered lives.

Lloyd and Lumber's highlights for the day included a remake of Carlo Collodi's classic children's tale Pinocchio. The story looks at a puppet who dreams of becoming a real boy and this new version showing at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival is directed by Enzo D'Alo.

As for the Red Carpet the boys chatted with Syrian Sam Kadi, Director of The Citizen. Star of the film Khaled Al Nabawy and William Atherton will join us on Entertainment Today at 2pm on Monday.

ADFF Day 3 - The Citizen

It was an early start for the boy's and after breakfast it was straight into makeup with Sami from Make Up Forever. He slapped on the product and told us about the movies stars he had made up including Richard Gere and Nate Parker. However he revealed he had really hit the big time making up Lloyd and Lumber!

The guys did not want to be late for their meeting with the cast of The Citizen so they checked into the VIP suite and grabbed a couple of Jageur Lecoultre watches!

Then it was the Havaianas stand were Teresa told us about the history of the beach footwear and also about Virgin Radio's Simone designing a couple of pairs.

Bang on cue at 2pm Sam Kadi, director of The Citizen, arrived with Egyptian Actor Khaled Nabawi and Hollywood star William Atherton. After what was a fun interview -  William actually sang on air crooning the tune What'll I Do which he sang as the theme for the Robert Redford movie The Great Gatsby.

ADFF Day 4 - All That Glitters

It's just like a scene from the classic Bond movie Goldfinger.

At the Emirates Palace Hotel, home of the 6th Abu Dhabi Film Festival, All That Glitters probably is Gold!

Lloyd and Lumber explored the hotel and along the way found the world's first gold vending machine... Put your money in and out comes gold.

Jason heard the Sound of Music and discovered a Golden Harp... and look to the skies to the Golden Dome. It all just takes your breath away.

And if it's not gold it's probably candy... as the boy's discovered a dress made of film especially for the festival and Sweet Candy!

We're sure Lady Gaga would be happy to swap her meat dress for one made of candy!

After their adventure around the hotel the clip board clapped and it was showtime!

ADFF Day 5 - On Yer Bike!

Lloyd and Lumber may have arrived by limo but it's another form of transport that's gonna get them home to Dubai.

After a fabulous week covering the Abu Dhabi Film Festival the guy's will present their final show today. Over the past five days they have chatted to actors, producers, directors and organisers of this unique festival.

Many of the interviews will stay in the minds of Lloyd and Lumber including Mahmood Sabit who spoke about his documentary In Search Of Sand. Safaa Fathy movingly spoke about the loss of her brother in Mohammad Saved From The Waters and of course Dr Mohammad Jawad who told us about his selfless work as a plastic surgeon helping victims of acid attacks in Pakistan.

ADFF Operations Manager Gary Ellis set the scene for us each day picking some of the standout films showing each day.

It has indeed been a superb film festival and Lloyd and Lumber's exclusive interview with Hollywood actor Nate Parker was probably the highlight!

At 5pm today the boy's will head back to Dubai on blazing saddles and trailing behind will be their hardworking producer Roy Lampera who is scheduled to arrive in Dubai sometime next Tuesday!
