The Libyan army has ordered armed militia groups to leave military barracks, or face an armed eviction if they don't.
The presence of these rogue armed groups has drawn widespread criticism in Libya following the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi.
The incident left four Americans dead, including the Ambassador Chris Stevens. Some US officials think one of those militia groups, Ansar al-Sharia, was involved in the consulate attack.
Speaking to CNN, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee Mike Rogers says it certainly wasn't a spontaneous protest:
