LANDLESS POOR MARCH TO NEW DELHI

Thousands of landless poor have begun a march to the capital New Delhi, demanding their right to land.

The rally began in Gwalior city and organizers intend to cover the distance of about 350kms by the end of the month.

Authorities’ attempts to persuade the protesters to call off their demonstration remained unsuccessful.

The government is currently working on a draft national land reform policy.
