JAYAWARDENA QUITS SRI LANKAN T20 CAPTAINCY
Mahela Jayawardena has decided to step down from his position as captain of the Sri Lankan T20 team.
He made the announcement after losing the ICC World Twenty20 final against the West Indies.
Jayawardena said he’s taken the decision so the selection committee can groom someone younger for the job.
The 35-year-old added that he’s "assess his future as captain" in the ODIs and Tests after their tour of Australia this December.
