Emirates Steel says it’s completed its Dh7 billion ($1.9 billion) Phase 2 expansion program in the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD1).

Phase 2 increases Emirates Steel's total production capacity to 3.5 million metric tons per year.

The project is part of the massive endeavor to increase production to around 5.5 million tons per annum within the next three years.

Emirates Steel launched its two-phased, Dh10 billion ($2.72 billion) expansion program in January 2006 boosting the steel plants production to the largest in the UAE

Al Sufouh Tram project on track to completion
