DUBAI POLICE PUTS CRIME RATE DROP DOWN TO ADVANCED SECURITY SYSTEM

Incidents of serious crime in Dubai have dropped significantly over the past six months, compared to the same period last year.

According to reports, thefts and robberies have dropped 45% – while serious physical assaults went down by 13.9%,

Findings from the Dubai Security and Traffic Indicator study also show that cases of while financial corruption have decreased 44%.

Lauding the 2012 results, officials put the drop down to a security monitoring programme introduced by Dubai Police.

It’s said to have helped focus police presence in necessary areas, and effectively chart latest incidents.
