DOT DUBAI IN THE WORKS

UAE firms may soon be able to have dot Dubai or dot Abu Dhabi domain names.

According to the Gulf News, both emirates have submitted applications for the names to internet regulatory ICANN.

That’s as part of a massive new move to new domain names globally.

Gulf News says that UAE organisations have made 46 proposals for new names, including dot etisalat.

The new domain names are expected to go live at the beginning of next year.
