BRYANT FIT FOR SEASON OPENER
NBA star Kobe Bryant has given the LA Lakers a late boost pronouncing himself fit to play in the season opener against the Dallas Mavericks.
The All-Star guard had been sidelined for 8 days by a strained right foot.
Earlier he claimed he was "85%" certain to take the court but would make a final decision before game time.
The 34-year-old league veteran was kicked in his right foot during the third quarter of the Lakers' 99-92 preseason loss to the Sacramento Kings on Oct. 21.
