BABY RESCUE TWEETER TO BE REWARDED BY AUTHORITIES

Police are apparently set to reward the hero who helped them track down a missing child – via Twitter.

Sharjah Police posted appeals on their social network pages requesting public help, after month-old Lailas Ehssan was snatched from a petrol station forecourt.

According to reports, her parents left the child in the car with the engine running; a thief subsequently stole the vehicle with the child on board.

Twitter user Al Shamsi saw the police’s online alerts, and called authorities after spotting the car.

The suspect is reportedly being questioned.

Meanwhile Sharjah police have warned parents not to leave their children unattended.
