Aurora shooting victims sue theatre owners

Wounded victims of a deadly US shooting at a screening of the latest Batman movie have sued the cinema operators for alleged negligence.

According to reports, two lawsuits claim there were no guards on duty for the midnight showing of "The Dark Knight Rises" in Aurora, when 12 people were killed.

In addition, the doors had no alarms, and staff did not monitor the parking lot, where the shooter is believed to have prepared for the attack.

Abu Dhabi marks 7.7% growth in 2012
The UAE capital's economy grew 7.7% year on year in 2012. The Statistics Centre, Abu Dhabi attributes it to huge financial surpluses, strong growth in non-oil sectors and high oil prices.
New sensors control speeding by Dubai's taxis
Speeding taxi drivers in Dubai are set to face further controls. The RTA has installed a new system on cabs called AMAN which is a self powered sensor that monitors the vehicles.
