ANTI NUCLEAR PROTESTERS TO BLOCK PROPOSED POWER PLANT IN INDIA
In India, demonstrators are expected to lay siege to the sea today about 500 meters away from the site of a proposed nuclear power plant.
Fishermen, farmers, traders and volunteers are expected to participate in the protest against the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant.
It’s expected to be similar to what they did on September 22 when 500 boats filled with protestors blocked the Tuticorin port against loading of uranium in the plant.
The site’s first unit was scheduled to be commissioned in December last year but has been delayed due to protests by locals on safety concerns.
