ANGELA MERKEL MET WITH 300,000 ANGRY PEOPLE IN GREECE
German chancellor Angela Merkel has been met with protests and chants in Greece.
Up to 300,000 people took to the streets as she held talks with the Greek Prime Minister.
In a speech after the discussions, she told press that she had not come to Greece as a taskmaster, or a teacher giving grades, but ‘as a friend to listen and be informed’.
Ms Merkel said that coming from East Germany she knew how long it took to build reform but that the Greek people were making progress.
