ABU DHABI AUTHORITIES FOIL ATTEMPT TO SMUGGLE 400KG OF DRUGS
Authorities in the capital have foiled a bid by two truck drivers to smuggle 400kgs of hashish into a neighboring country.
According to reports, half of the stash was found wrapped in cartons, while the other half was seized from a rented house in cooperation with Dubai police.
The drugs are thought to have an estimated street value of more than AED 16 million.
Incidentally the operation coincided with the World Anti-Narcotics Day on June 26.
