Over AED 70 million worth of fake goods seized in Dubai
Fake goods worth AED 72.6 million have been confiscated in Dubai during the first half of 2017.
Dubai Customs seized the counterfeit branded items, including electronics, watches, tyres, medicine, clothing, perfume and cosmetics from over 130 operations.
Officials say the authority is equipped with the most advanced inspection equipment in detecting fake products.
The body is working closely with the World Intellectual Property Organisation and other relevant authorities to coordinate efforts against counterfeiting.
