Oil demand won’t peak until 2040: OPEC
The secretary of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) says the group does not see oil demand peaking until 2040.
Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo has been speaking at the ongoing Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC).
The group also raised its demand forecast for 2018 ahead of a key meeting later this month.
Barkindo cited some of the reasons why OPEC believes oil demand will not peak until after 23 years.
