Man charged with murder after car hits protesters in Virginia
A 20-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of second-degree murder after he allegedly ploughed his car into a crowd protesting a white supremacist rally in Virginia.
Three people have died and dozens others injured following clashes between white nationalists and counter-protesters.
“I have a message to all the white supremacists and the Nazis who came into Charlottesville today,” said Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, adding, “Our message is plain and simple: Go home.”
The FBI has opened an investigation into the incident.
