Super sale across malls

A super sale is happening across the city’s malls and shops today, tomorrow and Saturday. You’ll find up to 90% off at many of the malls and stores across the emirate. Apparently it’s also going to be a yearly thing. A 3 day pre-summer sale in May.

Mary Poppins 

With only a week left, Dubai Opera are having a flash Sale for tickets for Mary Poppins until the 20th of May for those who have registered on their website.

But if you’re looking to start your weekend early there’s a night brunch – Cirque De Cuisine at Atlantis that’s rolling Nobu, Ronda Locatelli, Bread Street Kitchen, Seafire Steakhouse & Bar, Ossiano, The Burger Joint, Shawafel and Asia Republic complete with street performers, jugglers, acrobats and entertainers.

Walk For Wellness 

Dubai’s first Mental Health Mates walk will provide a non-judgmental environment and a bit of exercise for anyone who would like to meet like-minded people with experience of mental health issues. There’s no need to register – simply look for the balloons.

Daler Mehndi & Mika Singh

Two musical legends – Daler Mehndi and Mika Singh are in Dubai. Singh has more than 35 hits under his belt, while Mehndi is effectively the reason that Bhangra is so popular around the world today.

The Heff Party

You can wear what you’re going to wear to bed, for an actual night out. It’s to celebrate the birthday of Societe’s founder Gary Holliday. So don your best bedwear for The Heff Party and get free drinks from 10pm to midnight.

Afikra – All About Arab Culture

It is a monthly salon-style evening where two members of the community present about cultural and historical topics they are curious about. While the topic is a secret until the event itself – this time the speakers are Yasmine Saab and Tarik Chelali. The purpose of each evening is to bring together a community of like-minded individuals and have fruitful conversations about things we don’t know much about.

Robbie’s Supersonic Rocket

It’s a children’s book turned into a musical stage play here in Dubai. Suitable for children aged 3 to 11 years.

And finally some comedy to end the weekend. Dubomedy Arts School’s students are all taking to the stage for a Comedy Mix Tape, which means a combo of stand up and improv and audience participation.
