Jordanian soldier sentenced to life for killing US troops
A military court in Jordan has sentenced a soldier to life in prison for killing three US trainers at the al-Jafr air base last year.
The Jordanian soldier has been charged with premeditated murder.
The incident in November had led to tensions between the two countries after Jordan initially said the Americans triggered the shooting after disobeying entry rules. They later withdrew the claim.
Relatives of the slain troops had attended parts of the trial in Amman.
