Imelda Marcos found guilty of graft
A court in the Philippines has ordered the arrest of former first lady, Imelda Marcos.
It’s after she was found guilty of seven counts of graft during the two-decade reign of her husband and ex-dictator, Ferdinand Marcos.
The country’s anti-corruption court sentenced Marcos, a three-term congresswoman, to up to 11 years in prison.
However, the arrest warrant may not be carried out immediately as she can take an appeal to the Supreme Court.
